Masterpiece Carving!  Museum quality Sculpture!

We are delighted to have this large 13" Pits Eagle and Fish to offer our clients.

Pits seldom carves these large Eagles.

This carving is a rare opportunity to have one of Pits' eagles in this size in your collection.

itseolak (Pits) Qimirpik from Kimmirut is one of three elite Canadian Inuit carvers who have earned an international presence.

Pits' work is showcased in the WAG and the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa.  He has had exhibitions all over the world.

Pits is renowned for his birds especially his owls. His masterpiece sculptures capture the hearts of serious Inuit art collectors.

Pits' owls (Archimedes) are his signature pieces but occasionally he carves these amazing Eagles.

We are witnessing the struggle between an Eagle and his catch..

We look up to the sky and in a split second we observe an eagle who is fighting to hand on to a wiggling fish who has been swept away from his watery home.

The scene is simple but potent. The eagle is powerful and intense as he concentrates on holding onto the wiggling fish.

Strangely, the fish is serene. He is determined to stay alive.

The lines and proportions of this carving are immaculate. The polish and colour of the  electric apple green stone takes away your breath.

Our knowledgeable collectors immediately recognize the mastery of this depiction of Hunter and the Hunted.
