                             MUSEUM CALIBRE MASTERPIECE

Yet again, an extraordinary Jimmy Iqaluq carving.

A GREEN bear with a brilliant RED tongue!

Look into the mouth of this piece.
The longer you look, the more realistic the mouth becomes!

The teeth are teeny tiny but perfect! And did you notice the teeth in the upper jaw?
How did he carve those teeth and then place them so perfectly?

The tongue is rolled up at the edges and touches the roof of the mouth.....JUST LIKE A REAL TONGUE!
How did he carve that tongue and again, place it so perfectly?

Jimmy Iqaluq is an astounding artist!

Jimmy finds the red stone on the seashore near his childhood home and uses it for inlaid eyes, tongues and once, for the feet of one of his famous loons
.
The green argalite stone delivers a gentle and happy countenance to our Walking bear.

Doesn't he look like he has a big smile on his face?
Jimmy excels in the obsessive attention to detail department
.
Did you notice that each claw is carved separately?

This walking bear has sophistication and personality. Iqaluq’s sculptures have a certain attitude that sets them apart.
