Everything about this piece is perfect. From the gorgeous green stone to the captivating eyes made with caribou antler. The two elements together contrast exquisitely making this a very dynamic piece.
The shine and polish are absolutely beautiful.
When Sam was twelve years old, he began to learn carving in the traditional manner - by watching his father carve. At seventeen years old Sam began carving as a serious profession and he continues to carve today to support his family. Owls are his signature pieces. He is one of the best younger carvers in Cape Dorset.
