Pits’ owls are revered by art enthusiasts. His owl carvings are regarded as the prototype of all Inuit owls.

Pits’ work is fastidious, and the proportions of his owls are exact. Every one of his owls is impeccable. Pits’ has an innate ability to select the perfect stone with the perfect colour for each carving. This particular stone is mottled with a watery turquoise colour which gives the owl a youthful spirited demeanour.

Qimirpik’s depiction of Northern wildlife is celebrated among the avant garde circles of Inuit art. His skill is internationally recognized and praised.

This is a grand carving by Canada’s most world renowned owl artist, Pits Qimirpik. He has numerous prize winning pieces on an international scale.

Its hard not to fall in love with Pits’ owls. With their medium size and affordable price, its so easy to have a Pits’ owl collection within your larger collection. When two or three of his owls are grouped together (perhaps on your kitchen island) they immediately become the stars of the room.
