Museum quality Carving!  Fantastic Movement!

Motion, motion, motion!

Pootoogook Jaw is a magician.

He consistently carves movement into each of his pieces.

This Inuk is simply holding his drum and looking upward, yet you can feel the energy contained within this stunning piece.

I believe it is the bent left leg and the position in which he is holding his baton, that creates the tension.

This sculpture is truly outstanding.  I can easily see it in the WAG or the National Art Gallery in the future.

Jaw's beautifully detailed carving is so outstanding,

I am going to end this description with this statement.........

A picture is worth a thousand words.
