This is a series of electrifying white sculptures by Internationally renowned Inuit artist Lew Phillip from Iqaluit. He specifically made this and several other sculptures we have in our store for the Northern Lights festival held in Ottawa Canada back in February 2012. This is an exhibition piece from a well recognized artist, thus making it a very strong investment.

Lew PhillipThis masterful drum dancer by Lew Phillip was his main featured piece which was used to represent him in Ottawa's art festival. Because their is more detail and composition to this piece, its value is increased significantly. Lew told me during at his pavilion that it took him almost 3 weeks to carve out this drum dancer (that's a long time!). Like all of Lew's carvings, this one is also proportioned perfectly to the actual movements of a real bear.

What excites me so much about this drum dancer is the beautiful marble finish alongside the perfect detail and realism effect. This is why Lew Phillips is a master artist and considered one of the greats. Any piece by him in a collection is a real investment.

The sculpture is signed by the artist, also comes with igloo tag.
